We would like to thank you for the numerous abstracts that have been submitted to ISPAD 2010.
Each abstract has been carefully reviewed and the discordant ones have been discussed by the Abstract Review Committee.

On July 19, 2010 all abstract presenters have been informed by E-mail regarding the status of their abstract.

Conference Information

Certificate of Attendance
The Certificate of Attendance will be available on-site. Further details will be published on the ISPAD 2010 website.

Continued Medical Education
Accreditation has been applied for; please check for updated information on the conference website.

Conference Bag
The conference bag, containing the conference material, can be obtained in the registration area at the conference venue.

Currency
The national currency in Argentina is the Peso (ARS) but all payments connected with the ISPAD 2010 conference will be in Euro (€). Credit cards (Visa/Mastercard/Diners/Amex) are accepted as well.

Exhibition
Conference participants are invited to visit the exhibition on the first floor of the Sheraton. The exhibition will be open during the following times:

Final Program & Abstract CD-ROM
The Final Program as well as the Abstract CD-ROM will be available on-site. The Abstract Book will be published as a special supplement to Pediatric Diabetes.

Insurance and Liability
The conference organizer, the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes and the ISPAD Conference Secretariat can not accept liability for personal injury, loss of or damage to belongings of conference participants, either during or as a result of the conference. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

Internet Café
The Internet Café will be open to all delegates during exhibition times.

ISPAD Service Point
The Society will have a service point in the exhibition area where members can ask questions, pay their fees, get missing issues of Pediatric Diabetes, etc. Non-Members are also invited to learn more about ISPAD.

Language
The official conference language is English. Simultaneous translation will be provided at least in the Plenary Sessions.

Name Badge
A badge is required for admittance to all official conference sessions and events. Each participant is asked to present the badge in order to gain access to the conference. The name badge must be worn and clearly displayed at all times.

Passport & Visa Requirements
Please check with your nearest embassy / consulate whether you will need a visa to enter Argentina. Make sure to apply for a multiple-entry visa when planning tours or trips to other countries (e.g. Brazil or the USA) during your stay. Also check the “Letter of Guarantee” information in the Terms and Conditions section of this document.

Poster Area / Poster Sessions
The poster area will be located on the first floor. The posters will be present during the entire conference. Poster Sessions with a designated chairman will take place at the times indicated in the program. All poster presenters are asked to post their posters well before this time and to be present during the times of presentation. Material and the exact location of where to attach the posters to the poster walls will be provided.

Smoking Policy
It is forbidden to smoke in any part of the conference venue.

Speakers Center
Invited speakers, chairmen and oral abstract presenters must report to the Speakers Center at least four hours prior to their presentation in order to check and deposit their presentation.

Travel Grants
All delegates submitting an abstract may apply for travel grants during the abstract submission process. Requirements: 40 years of age or less, ISPAD member (all dues paid), first author of an abstract.
